🌺 Event Recap: Games and Laughter Aloha-Style G.A.L.A. 🌴
Wow, what a night full of tropical-themed festive fun! Our Games and Laughter Aloha-Style G.A.L.A. was truly a night to remember — filled with laughter, friendship, and the spirit of aloha.
We are deeply grateful to our generous sponsors whose support made this special evening possible:
Surfboard Sponsor – Family Private Care
Community Sponsor – Cobb EMC Foundation
Ukulele Sponsor – Mahjongg Maven
Hula Sponsors – Cindy Haslock, ComforCare, and Janet Stanley
Tribute Sponsor – Joe and Linda Barta
A heartfelt thank you also goes to the many individuals and businesses who donated or bid on our silent and live auction items — your generosity helps fund our ongoing community programs.
🌸 Celebration Highlights
We’ve received such wonderful feedback on the event — and it’s easy to see why! Our Split-the-Pot winner went home with $600, and our Lei Game winner (believe it or not!) was a hula dancer visiting all the way from California!
The Live Auction sent winners off on incredible adventures — from Italy and South Africa to a beautiful beach house in Florida and a weekend getaway in Ellijay. Every one-of-a-kind silent auction item also found a happy new home, adding even more excitement to the evening.
🌺 A Big Mahalo to Our Supporters
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the G.A.L.A. such a success!
Peter Hawkins – for serving as our engaging MC and talented auctioneer
Holly Mills – for the stunning and delicious Aloha-themed cookies
StillFire Brewing – for providing two craft beers for attendees to enjoy
Superior Catering – for the mouthwatering tropical dinner and desserts
All of our amazing volunteers – for setting up, working the event, and handling cleanup
Your time, talent, and aloha spirit made the evening unforgettable!
💛 With Gratitude
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and guests, we raised vital funds to support our community programs and continue our mission to serve older adults and their caregivers with compassion and joy.
