A Note from Our Founder
Thanks to the incredible generosity of so many, our Annual Aloha Gala, held on August 16th, at Olde Towne Athletic Club, raised $40,000 of our $50,000 goal. These monies that will be used to help us expand our outreach, staffing and educational programs.
We were amazed and delighted by the crowd that turned out-135 guests to support our work and mission! Guests in attendance enjoyed an “aloha’ infused dinner and decadent desserts, silent and live auction bidding directed by Emcee, Cory Thompson and Mark Aston! This year, marking our 10th anniversary, we chose the theme, “Building Our Legacy.” We were so very pleased to have Sarah Stanley Fallaw as our guest speaker for the event. As the co-author of “The Next Millionaire Next Door” her fitting and meaningful speech touched many, as she shared memories of her father, who inspired her inquisitive nature as well as her completing the book they started together.
As so many of you know, our event could not have happened without the generous friends and businesses sponsors and those that donated items for our Live and Silent Auctions; and for every donor, gala attendee and raffle ticket purchaser whose efforts helped to make the evening such a success!
Finally, a deeply heartfelt thank you to Cindy Theiler, Gala Chair and our 2019 Gala Committee for their tireless dedication, creativity, and resourcefulness in making the Aloha Gala one to remember!
to see fantastic pictures of the wonderful evening.
And last, but by no means least, please be sure to keep a lookout for new programming focused on overall health as we age. It’s an exciting time as we move through our 10th year!
