Aloha to Aging staff and volunteers trained 100 social workers in “ASiST” Aging Simulation Sensitivity Training at the AASC American Association of Service Coordinators conference. Rave reviews from the participants as they found it engaging as well as informative. They now have more empathy for those with common age-related health challenges. Solutions were presented to help those caring for individuals that may experience neuropathy, hearing loss, vision loss, language impairment, and mobility and balance issues.
Hope to see you at our next “ASiST”: Tuesday September 13, 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Program held at The Oaks House (by Burnt Hickory Baptist) 4865 Oak Run Path Powder Springs, GA 30127. Call 770-722-7641 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
