MAHALO to all our Aloha volunteers who came aboard to sail into 2017 at the Aloha Volunteer Kick Off! All enjoyed engaging converstion with Board Members and learned about the history and future of Aloha to Aging, Inc. as the “Leading Care Connection”. Special guest speaker, friend and long time supporter of Aloha with personal experience, Mike Boyce – Cobb County Commissioner, stressed the ever growing need for Aloha’s unique services in our community. In the words of a West Cobb volunteer, Terry Mason, “The lunch was wonderful, lots of energy and info! Great group!” Many thanks to our Board Secretary, Dennis Bates, for opening his home.
We had a great Cooking Class and Olive Oil Tasting with Olea Oliva! Many thanks to the owners Dilip Daya and Smita Daya who gave an engaging and most informative presentation on how choices you make now can determine your path in life toward healthier outcomes, reducing the risk of disease, and promoting healthier active years as you age. Attendees not only learned how to make healthier choices in their cooking but also enjoyed a fabulous meal!
